Buildings
We organised the types of property recorded in the survey in four broad categories: lands, trees, buildings, and animals. Apart from houses, other types of buildings include shops, warehouses, workshops, wine presses, oil presses, watermills, structures used for animal husbandry, etc. The recorded built environment sheds light on both the economic structure and activities of Ottoman Cyprus, as well as social stratification.
