Translated title of volume: First volume: Register of the properties and lands of the quarters of the city of Nicosia (Lefkoşa), and the district of Kythrea (Değirmenlik), Orini (Dağ), Morphou (Amorfa), Famagusta (Mağusa) and Karpasia (Karpas) on the island of Cyprus (Kıbrıs) on the year [Anno Hegirae] 1248 (1832/33).

Translated opening statement: According to the relevant imperial order of his royal highness on the issue of recording all the properties and lands on the island of Cyprus [and] in accordance to the sublime order issued in honour, his servant the former auditor of Anatolia Mehmed Esʿad Beyefendi and afterwards by means of his servant Hüseyin Halid Efendi of the order of the senior clerks of the imperial council appointed as official envoy, and by means of his servant the head clerk of the bureau of pious endowments Mehmet Efendi who was appointed as scribe, and with the supervision of the governor of the above-mentioned island his servant Esseyyid Mehmed Emin Ağa of the order of the chief gatekeepers of the imperial court, and by means of the holy Islamic court and his servants the elders of the province and the representatives of the people, for the purposes of making adjustments and modifications [on the recordings], these are the registers that mention and discuss the properties and lands found under the responsibility of the Muslim and non-Muslim subjects living in the city of Nicosia located in the above-mentioned island, and the districts of Kythrea, Orini, Morphou, Famagusta, and Karpasia that are appended [to Nicosia] and their villages.
